Preliminary sketch and ceramic artist reference images for Project 2: Coil Pot. Student Notes: “I plan to keep the coil shape on the outside and smooth the inside. I also plan to white slip some of the coils and sgraffito a design in the surface while leaving some coils without white slip or sgraffito. I chose Marina Martinez as my reference artist because I love how she uses the mix of geometric and organic patterns on her pieces.”

Patterns utilized will reference body functions (e.g. neurons, cells, blood flow, etc.).
